Pioglitazone is for treating the type 2 diabetes especially in the
patients whose sugar levels are not maintained by controlled diet
and regular exercises also.Actos or the Pioglitazone contain in them
the active components and the ingredient Pioglitazone hydrochloride.
The basic working of this drug is to increase the body’s feel
towards the insulin present. This insulin is one of the major
components that are produced by the body itself to control the
glucose and the blood sugar levels in the body. Insulin in the body
forces the cells to remove the sugars from the blood.
Researches and tests that have been conducted show that Pioglitazone
or actos should be used with due care in some conditions to avoid
unwanted troubles. When Pioglitazones are taken by people with age
above 75 years should be strictly taken under the supervision of the
doctor, else it may lead to heart failure. This drug is a very bad
combination with people suffering from severe or even moderate heart
problems. When the drug is taken by heart patients, People having
complaints regarding low hemoglobin levels in the blood and also
people suffering from swelling problems may show adverse effects.
Generic Pioglitazone or the actos do not serve as a good treatment
for type 1 diatetes.For this reason it should not be used for people
suffering from active lever disease or the jaundice. The generic
Pioglitazone should not be consumed or taken during pregnancy or
when breast feeding the baby.Diavista is also a form of Pioglitazone
which should be avoided under the above mentioned conditions.
